SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP
Sundays should be devoted to the Lord. We do just that at Salem Baptist Church. At 9:30 we gather for a brief time of fellowship over coffee, juice, and snacks with God’s children. At 10:00, we have small group Bible studies, otherwise known as Sunday School, for all ages. You will be able to find a group that you can connect with. At 11:00, we begin our worship service with a traditional and joyful time of singing praises unto the Lord. The children enjoy a short special time down front with the pastor. (Also, a Children’s Church is available.) The morning message aims at helping attendees to know the Lord and themselves better than when they arrived. Visitors are welcome!
Sunday evening services at 6:00 are important! Just one service per week is not enough for you to adequately get to know God, nor is it enough to equip you for the Christian life. Currently, we are spending one to five minutes in corporate prayer, followed by about five minutes interacting with the children in our service. The rest of the available time is invested in a sermon style overview of a book of the Bible. Visitors are welcome!
Our Wednesday service is a missions program. Our members come for the express purpose of ministering to all of the youth and children we can gather up. We unabashedly put our needs aside and attempt to meet the needs of all whom God sends our way. However, do not be misled, our members learn a great deal and reap many blessings for themselves. The evening begins when a small group of men gather to pray at 5:00. Our vans leave about 5:15 to pick up the precious cargo. About 5:40, our gym comes alive with the sights and sounds of enthusiastic, happy children and youth. At 6:00, we serve a light meal of “kid preferred” food. About 6:20 we have a time of singing and teaching, followed by a few more minutes of free time in the gym. Vans deliver the children back to their homes about 7:30. Not all the children ride the vans; some parents drop-off and pick-up. Some parents attend with their children. Visitors are welcome!
